There are two ways you can get PlexAmp working on your Linux PC: Flatpak and AppImage. For my situation I was trying to use plexamp. I did not have to enable https or Magic DNS. Allow Volumio to optionally install and config the ‘Headless Plexamp’ on specific hardware that supports PlexAmp. It was weird, if I moved media to my server and scanned it in plex while it was still on the cache drive it would see the files and work normally. I have this currently disabled but will enable it for PlexAmp 4.4.0 very soon. Plexamp for some reason works when you start a song but then doesnt update the screen when the song changes. As soon as those files were moved off the cache drive the scanner would start to fail until the Plex server was rebooted - but I would still be able to read the actual media. This problem also occurred on my OnePlus 7 Pro and. I was able to start identifying the issue because my plex server started throwing errors about file IDs not matching, I don't remember exactly what they were - but it had to do with how UnRAID was moving the files off the cache.
